LOS ANGELES, CA (May 12, 2015) – Floria Sigismondi (THE RUNAWAYS) will direct THE DELIVERY MAN, a drama based off the novel of the same title written by Joe Mcginniss Jr, with Jonathan Lemond (Black list script THE PROFESSORS) adapting for the screen. Be True Productions’ John Domo (Broadway’s “American Idiot” and “Big Fish”) and Braxton Pope (THE TRUST, CITY OF GOLD) will produce, with Highland Film Group’s (HFG) Arianne Fraser and Delphine Perrier executive producing alongside Molly Hassell (THE TRUST, JACKIE & RYAN).  Highland Film Group is financing and will introduce the project to international buyers starting in Cannes.

Mary Vernieu is casting THE DELIVERY MAN, which is set against the surreal excess of Las Vegas – and the artificial suburbs, gated communities, and freeways that surround it – where broken lives come to seek new beginnings and casinos feed the lust of tourists and residents alike.

Sigismondi made her feature directorial debut with the Sundance selection THE RUNAWAYS starring Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning.  She has won numerous awards including MTV Music Video of the Year for Justin Timberlake’s Mirrors, and has directed videos for artists including David Bowie, The White Stripes, Bjork, Marilyn Manson and Katy Perry. Sigismondi is represented by WME and Echo Lake Entertainment.

At Cannes, HFG will be handling internationals sales on:  Steven C. Miller’s THE FEUD starring Kellan Lutz; the Bruce Willis actioner EXTRACTION, also starring Kellan Lutz and Gina Carano; FEBRUARY starring Emma Roberts and Kiernan Shipka; Max Adams & Scott Mann’s PRECIOUS CARGO starring Bruce Willis; BOSWELL FOR THE DEFENCE starring Steve Coogan; BLINK from director Noam Murro; and the supernatural thriller THE FAITH OF ANNA WATERS.
